1. UPBRINGING
No wealth, no resources, no social standing.
She was raised on the south side of Chicago.
She was the product of working class community. Her father was a city worker and diagnosed with multiple esclerosis, her mother a stay-at-home mum. Neither of them attended university.
She was raised with love, strong values and a belief that with a good education and a whole lot of hard work there was nothing that we could not do.

2. FEMALE ROLE MODELS
Compassion, integrity, confidence, perseverance, all of that wrapped up in an unconditional love.

3. MALE ROLE MODELS.
What a respectful relationship should look like between men and women, what a strong marriage feels like (faith, commitment, admiration), what it means to be a father and raise a family, and help raise kids in the broader community.

4. FIRST DATE WITH BARACK OBAMA
At a community meeting where he talked about the world as it is and the world as it should be.

5. BENEFITS OF EDUCATION
It can close the gap between the world as it is and the world as it should be.
You can control your own destiny, pave your way and realize your dreams.

6. FINAL WISH
You remain resolute when pursuing your dreams.
