Last day we spent the lesson talking about "Education and Studies". Here you have the videos we watched about the South Korean Education System and the Finnish one:





Can you see any differences between these two systems and the Spanish one?

I also want you to have a look at this video about the UPCT.  
It's full of interesting vocabulary about University studies and life in Cartagena.

Last day in Kerrin's class you played a game in which you had to guess your partener's "odd job".

• What kind of person would do things like that for a living?
• What qualities are required for each of these jobs?

•  Which of them would you never agree to even if you were offered lots of money? Why?

BOOK REVIEW

We are about to finish the course so it's time you finished reading the book you chose at the beginning of the course and wrote your review. I want you to hand it in after Easter so as to check them all before the end of the course.

Remember I also proposed you to prepare an oral presentation about the book. If you want to do it, please write your name in the calendar I put on the notice board in the class to let me know when you'll give your presentation.

WRITING TASK: TIPS FOR A GOOD ESSAY

It's time you wrote an essay!

Last day we spoke for a while about how to write a good "For & Against" or "Opinion" essay. This is the powerpoint I showed you:

also "Useful Language" to help you express different ideas when writing (contrast, addition, ...)

Remember I told you to write an essay, either a "for & against" or a "opinion" one, on the following statement "LET THE PUNISHMENT FIT THE CRIME"
